Mine II

The Substation (Singapore) 2017

Mine II is her love letter to her medium and practice. The mining theme provides the metaphor for contemplation on commitment and capital, labour, consumption, renewal. The artistic practice implicated in the chain link of anxieties. The sustained mining of resources, the invisibility of labour are common denominators.

The work completes a trilogy series that began with Mine (2010) and The Gold Rush (2014)
