De Rarum Natura
Museum of Applied Arts (Serbia, Belgrade) 1986
There is no more appropriate name for almost all of Delia Prvački’s than De Rarum Natura (on the nature of things) There are two basic forms in Delia Prvački’s ceramic world. The first type is an oval or elliptical and resembles a fruit, while the second comprises distorted cones with a characteristic profile deriving probably from old Romanian pottery ornaments which the artist tries to free from abstract and ornamental qualities giving them three-dimensional fullness.
